Belgrade, Nebraska is a small town located in Nance County, in the central part of the state. As of the 2020 census, the population of Belgrade was 123. The town was established in 1886 and named after the capital city of Serbia.
Belgrade is primarily an agricultural community, with much of its economy based on farming and livestock operations. The town is also home to a few small businesses, including a grocery store, bank, and post office.
One of the main attractions in Belgrade is the annual Belgrade Fall Festival, which takes place every September. The festival includes a parade, carnival rides, live music, and other activities for visitors of all ages.
Belgrade is located about 110 miles west of Omaha and 60 miles north of Grand Island. Nearby attractions include the Pawnee Plunge Water Park in Columbus and the Crane Trust Nature and Visitor Center in Wood River.
